Setup Guide

1

Unbox Your Trezor

Carefully unbox your Trezor device. You should find the Trezor hardware wallet, USB cable, recovery seed cards, and lanyard. Ensure all items are present and the device shows no signs of tampering.

2

Connect to Computer

Connect your Trezor to your computer using the provided USB cable. Visit trezor.io/start in your browser and follow the prompts to install Trezor Bridge, the communication software that allows your browser to interact with the device.

3

Install Firmware

Your Trezor will prompt you to install the latest firmware. This is a critical security step that ensures your device has the most up-to-date protection. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware installation.

4

Create New Wallet

Choose to create a new wallet. Your Trezor will generate a unique recovery seed - a list of 12, 18, or 24 words that can restore your wallet if your device is lost or damaged. Write this seed on the provided recovery cards and store them securely.

5

Set PIN Protection

Set up a PIN code to protect your device from unauthorized access. The PIN is entered using the randomized number display on your Trezor screen, preventing keyloggers from capturing your PIN.

6

Access Your Wallet

Once setup is complete, you can access your wallet through the Trezor Suite interface. Here you can view your portfolio, send and receive cryptocurrencies, and explore additional security features.
